But finally, after a year of dragging my heels and screaming at God to get me out of here, despite knowing that this is where I'm meant to be, I finally feel content here. Due to the job situation there was talk about me having to go home and all I could think was "I don't want to". That's new, had you said it to be two months ago I would have gone in the blink of an eye.
So why this sudden change? I guess the big one that has brought it about was the fact that I got Baptised. (Before you ask, yes I was Baptised as a Baby but I think it's different making the decision yourself as an adult. I'll talk more about it in another post). Also I've finally put down some roots here, made some friends in the area, gotten involved with church and community groups.
Hopefully I'll have a job soon. I've registered with an agency to do supply TA work. Just waiting on references to go through and then I'm set to go. Hopefully they'll come through soon.
In other news a friend is in the process of moving over from Dublin to here. I'm pretty excited to have her here.
And oh, I'm off to Ethiopia for the New Year with Habitat for Humanity. Can't wait. To raise funds for it I'm doing a sponsored 24hour silence. If you'd like to sponsor me you can do so here:http://www.mycharity.ie/event/aoife_lynchs_event/
